Spirit of Africa - about me

I already discovered my love to Africa when I was a young schoolgirl, although my idea of this continent was very vague. All began, after I had seen a film about Albert Schweitzer's Hospital in Lambarene and the tropical rainforest. I spent many hours at the libraries to read all the books about Africa I could get. A few years after I had finished school and vocational training, I was on my way to Nigeria where I stayed for many years.
During a visit at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Abeokuta, I met Dr. Madecki. As time went on we became very good friends, he showed me his hospital and told me all about the people of the "town under the rocks". I realized he was happy to live and work in this part of the world. To help the sick and needy was his mission . . .
